in our house we have a room that is supposed to be a formal dining room. it is currently being used as a computer/play room for the girl. i also use this space to sort laundry into piles as preparation to do laundry for the week.
she's in this phase where she absolutely loves stickers and art paper, and therefore it is spread like a carpet covering the floor in the space i need. i am not exaggerating here, she buys posterboard to put stickers on and there are currently 3 'works in progress'. anyway.
in order to use the floor to sort it is her job to stack up all the papers and stickers and put them away.

this morning, after she had it all stacked up, she says in her best super-hero voice, "Once again, A.B. saves the world from messiness!"

i couldn't help but smile and encourage such heroic feats!
