When it rains...

it pours.

a quick update of the last week in my life...

last week i worked mon./tues./wed.1/2day, so i was able to leave the office at 11:00am on wed., drive home, and we were on the road by 11:50, destination Houston. we arrive in Houston at 9:30, so we made pretty good time. the plan for the next day was to hang out, do some be-boppin' around, just get ready because friday morning we would go and pick up the U-haul and move most of E's parents things here to their new home...well, things didn't exactly go as planned.
expected timeline:
wed.-arrive that evening
thurs.-down day
fri.-get truck, load boxes and furniture
sat.-drive back home, unload
sun.-down day
mon.-back to work
tues.- work 1/2day and prepare for cookout
wed.-cookout at our place
thurs.-A's EEG (as a result of recent seizure)
fri.-work

actual timeline:
wed.-arrive that evening
thurs.-down day
fri.-get truck, what?!? no truck - not reserved. A's Dr. calls and prescribes additional meds for UTI
sat.-check back for truck - (FIL backs into my car, crunching in the door) no truck
sun.-TRUCK!!! load
mon.-drive home (in the rain with a leaky door, stuffing towels in the top to keep the rain from dripping on my seat and shoulder. i get almost home when my sister calls my cell. "you need to call Dad." call dad...find out my granny has been diagnosed with cancer...behind heart, on lungs and throat...concentrate on just getting home), call around try to find out what i can about grandma's cancer, unload, begin preparing for other demands of the week, handle work emails/messages
tues.-work. let E deal with taking the car for repair/body work and later i will unpack/clean house/prepare for cookout/grocery shop...etc.
wed.-cookout, keep the girl up until midnight
thurs.-wake the girl at 5:00am in preparation for her EEG, afternoon work
fri.-work...then TGIF; feeling a bit overwhelmed, i think i may get drunk.

honestly, there were some high points to the week.
i may share pictures later...maybe friday.
look for it.
