Am I FIT or FAT today?

think i might use this free online food journal for a bit to track my calories...something i've never done in the literal sense. i have never been a calorie counter, never had any interest in it...that being said, i did do, still sometimes live a 'weight-watchers' lifestyle. (ie. i was hungry for 2 years)
i know, i know, that is calorie counting. but not really, its points. points, not calories. truth be told, it keeps you in line with the proper consumption of calories. but, whatever.

so, summer is coming and so is the pool.
ick.
that's all, just ick.
guess its time to go back to being hungry...

Bowling with Toddlers...

and with not-too-shabby scores, they had a blast!
The girl was jabbering all the way home about how much fun she had 'balling', and that she couldn't wait to go 'balling' again!

Bowling, pizza, birthday cake...who could ask for anything more!

just considering...

item #1
window decals (like for children's sports/activities),
are they really just for SUVs and minivans?

item #2

59 ingredients in a McDonald's milkshake,
seriously?
if you wanted to make a strawberry milkshake at home:
ice, cream, strawberries, sugar and a touch of vanilla
ingredients you might find in a fast-food strawberry milkshake:
1.milkfat and nonfat milk, 2.sugar, 3.sweet whey, 4.high-fructose corn syrup, 5.guar gum, 6.monoglycerides and diglycerides, 7.cellulose gum, 8.sodium phosphate, 9.carrageenan, 10.citric acid, 11.E129 and 12.artificial strawberry flavour.
only 12...
And what does that "artificial strawberry flavour" contain?
Just: amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamyl valerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl heptylate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerate, heliotropin, hydroxyphrenyl- 2-butanone (10% solution in alcohol), ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butyrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbonate, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl salicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobutyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum ether, undecalactone, vanillin and solvent.
47.

12+47=59!
it doesn't matter...i'm still gonna eat it!

item #3
free time.
where has all of mine gone?
i don't get it...
it was just here...
now, i've looked everywhere
can't find any.

item #4
new {21}challenge - weekly word prompt:habit
like this quote for it...
"Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired. " ~Jules Renard (1864-1910)
ok. so, i'm not lazy (when i don't make myself get on the treadmill), i'm just in the habit of resting.

Is it friday yet?

i am so completely worn out
tired
ready for all the work to be done

i'm trying to get started on this new {21} challenge, but for some reason i just can't get it together
this time i decided to make my personal challenge to live a healthy lifestyle...to be more active, make better food choices, hydrate, etc. etc.
i think that its totally doable, did exercise today. the problem i'm having is the art/journaling part - i'm just not sure how i want to go about it...

blah, blah, blah

i sound like such a whiner.
the reason
i have nothing to talk about

this post is not because i have anything to say
so
i'll be back
when i do
maybe when i get settled

Where has the week gone?

I cannot believe it is already the 12th of April! The last two weeks have flown by! also, we've had more going on than ever.
Last night I had a fabulous night out with the girls...drinks at the wine bar, then on to dinner at Dalesandro's. very yummy.

I haven't had the time to devote to posting, but am hoping that will change after next week...so, unless something really really cool/funny/terrible/out of the ordinary happens you probably won't see much of me here. i might try to post some pics on progress of the move prep...like anyone but me cares!
speaking of the move, we decided today to hire movers! I am so glad it will not be us moving the washer/dryer/refrigerator.

tonight is the last Wednesday night that we will sleep in this house...

End to the Weekend...

...not a minute too soon.

Saturday was a great day...loads of fun.
Sunday, not so fun.
We emptied our attic of everything. sorted, trashed, emptied boxes, repacked...all between lunch and dinner.
well, this morning my DH was complaining of a pain in his chest and under his arm that he just couldn't make go away. and with it he began coughing, a weezy cough. it seemed to get worse as the day went. at dinner I decided we were going to the urgent care, after putting up some resisantce he reluctantly agreed. fast forward 2 hours...he has bronchitis! and pretty severe, i assume...so, breathing treatment, antibiotics, cough syrup with codene, and inhaler for the next week. and he's not allowed to go outside until Wednesday.

did my time on the treadmill tonite...i'm off to do my journal.

On Any Given Day...

I've seen this around, thought I'd throw some out there...

On any given day...
I might drive around with my windows down.
I could change my clothes 4 or 5 times before deciding what to wear.
I may or may not capitalize the letter i in my emails and posts.
I love to shop for accessories, that I don't need.
I walk/jog 2 miles, to fulfill a personal challenge.
I will take 20 - 30 pictures trying to get that one perfect shot.
I listen to my music too loud.
I enjoy a piece of chocolate for dessert.
I can't understand why some people don't agree with my opinions...most of the time I'm right. ;)
I daydream about the future.

a short post today...i have so much left to do and its getting late.

Not feeling so well on Sunday...

don't know what kind of funk i caught, but it was lousy. feeling much better today.
Otherwise, it was such a gorgeous day yesterday. We took the girl to the park in the afternoon and flew her kite for a bit. She had a blast...not with the kite, but with joining in with/watching the adults run around trying to get the silly thing in the air! I guess there was some issue with construction, they worked it out eventually.
I guess I could have taken one where the sun wasn't in her eyes...

On A Different Note...
I did my bit for the {21} challenge, but will have to do my art journal this morning. I prefer that over doing it at the end of the day.

monday...laundry day...ick. on the positive, it is usually a day when I don't even get dressed until the afternoon.

Saturday...

and what a good one.
we started the day with donuts from Kripsy Kreme,
next we got ready and went to our neighborhood's first annual Easter egg hunt,

then we chilled out with cartoons until time for lunch,
after lunch we took the girl to see Ice Age the Meltdown at the show,
scrapbooked, read, watched golf and just piddled this afternoon,
grilled steaks for dinner - teryaki, yum-o!,
took a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood,
put the girl down for the night,
completed today's art journal,
time to do some hangin' out with my man.

good night.
