but its warm in here!
this morning i woke to a warm & cozy electric blanket,
made Mickey Mouse waffles,
and right now i am sipping on a nice warm mug of apple cider with cinnamon, cloves, and orange zest...curled up in my pajamas while the girl watches Winnie the Pooh's Christmas.
no school today, due to the winter storm.
so we're going to make peanut butter bon bons,
and maybe bake some cookies.
like i need them...

i wanted to just give you a glimpse into what's been going on 'round here.
E got the Christmas lights up!
i'd like to put a few more on the hedges and some on the trees, but its a starting off point.

my hubby's family are all in from their respective 'out of state' homes...what a way to welcome family, right.
i feel bad for the first man down.
and...
family portraits at the mall...none of which i really cared to purchase.
a few personal shots at the neighborhood playground...
and...
dinner out, thank goodness, but i did eat too much.
and...
then a little pre-holiday-day baking.
yum-o!
but!
tomorrow i bake the pumpkin cheesecake!

and...
now i'm going to scrap for a bit.

and...
i think that's it.

i need an opinion...

at last...i have finally found the botanical that i've been looking for. i'd like to hang it in my living room to the right of the fireplace.



i'm just wondering...do i frame it as it is (one image) or do i quarter it, choose my favorite, frame it out with a larger matte so that it is more of a focal point?
so, tell me what you think...any comments?

pecans are on the counter
preparing to be pie
pumpkin cheesecake
cornbread dressing
mashed potatoes
hot fresh bread
friends and family all together
christmas lights are laying ready
we'll turn them on as soon as
the all the turkey is gone
santa's list is being checked
pine cone wreaths
bows of holly
bottles of Reisling
smells of sweet things
oh i just can't wait!

seriously...

i don't know what's gotten in to me lately.
i have lost complete control of myself.
is it the stress of the fast approaching holidays?
is it a mental disconnect?
is it just that i have too many excuses readily available?
is it my environment?
or is it time for me to accept responsibility for me
and admit that I am what has gotten in to me...
a little of my past self and her baggage.
